Die Tübinger Burschenschaft Derendingia hat auf ihrem 134. Stiftungsfest am 25. Juni 2011 einstimmig beschlossen:
Wir distanzieren uns von der Haltung von Burschenschaftern im Verband „Deutsche Burschenschaft“, die eine ethnische Zugehörigkeit oder Abstammung zum Kriterium für die Aufnahme von Mitgliedern machen wollen. Dies ist mit den Prinzipien der Derendingia unvereinbar.
SPIEGEL-online hat am 15. Juni 2011 unter der Überschrift „Burschenschafter streiten über „Ariernachweis“ berichtet, dass eine Burschenschaft zu Mannheim aus dem Dachverband „Deutsche Burschenschaft“ ausgeschlossen werden soll, weil sie ein Mitglied aufgenommen hat, das chinesische Eltern hat.
Wir distanzieren uns von der Haltung von Burschenschaftern im Verband „Deutsche Burschenschaft“, wie sie in dem Bericht von „SPIEGEL-online“ wiedergeben ist.
Unsere Prinzipien und unsere Mitglieder
Die Burschenschaft Derendingia zu Tübingen bekennt sich zur freiheitlich demokratischen Grundordnung unseres Grundgesetzes. Nach diesem Kriterium nehmen wir unsere Mitglieder auf. Wir machen keinen Unterschied bei unseren Mitgliedern zwischen solchen mit deutscher oder ausländischer Nationalität oder gar einer sogenannten Rassenzugehörigkeit. Die sogenannte studentische Mensur haben wir abgeschafft.
Seit mehr als drei Jahrzehnten sind wir nicht mehr Mitglied im Dachverband „Deutsche Burschenschaft“. Wir sind ausgeschieden, weil wir einen Wehrdienstverweigerer aufgenommen haben, der später lange Jahre unser Vorsitzender war. Wir haben mehrere Mitglieder mit ausländischer Staatsbürgerschaft. Unsere Mitglieder sollen Persönlichkeiten sein, die ihr Studium in angemessener Zeit beenden oder gegebenenfalls eine andere Ausbildung absolvieren und sich in Staat und Gesellschaft verantwortlich verhalten. Um eine enge Verbindung mit unserer Universität Tübingen sind wir bemüht.
